Official launch of the Regional Resource Hub
The Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development, IUCN and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission invite you to join the virtual launch event of the Regional Resource Hub for Eastern and Southern Africa.
The event was be hosted online on the 24th of November 2020 from 15:00 to 17:00 East African Time.
The launch event outlined the long-term mission and vision of the Regional Resource Hub, as well as the services, tools and knowledge products already available to support decision making processes related to biodiversity conservation, protected areas and the blue economy. As the RRH is dynamic and in constant progress,responding to the needs of the stakeholders in the region, the launch merely sets a milestone and announces formally the availability of this resource to all these stakeholders, encouraging active use and engagement in the further development.
The launch will:
- showcase the RRH portal
- showcase the various information levels of the RRH services – regional (REC pages), national (country pages) and local (tools and uses for individual protected areas and national protected areas networks)
- show the linkages the RRH has established and hear from stakeholders on the need for, purpose and use of the RRH
