The University of York hosted a 6 day training workshop for the REAL members and also invited participants from the environment department and other research groups (CAPACITIE, AAREA, ENVIRON). This was held at the University of York Heslington East Campus and the Department of Archaeology, Kings Manor. The training course 24th-26th was aimed at imparting skills necessary for Early Stage Researchers and some topics covered included grant writing, writing for publication, communication and media relation skills, Media coverage and public relations and Research with impact . The training workshop was organized by Colin Courtney Mustaphi and Lorraine Youds.
On the 27th and the 28th the REAL ESR started book writing course which involved creative process management, book theme and chapter planning so as to develop chapters, writing teams, content outlines and task management, this was facilitated by John Issitt.
Day 6 was the REAL-AAREA-EnvIron workshop at department of York, Kings Manor where the researchers involved in this projects presented t status of the work. Rob Marchant, Paul Lane and Benoit Hazard were present during the final round table discussion which took place after the last presentations.
